got a call from wan dj... asking to acompani him hiking Mount Nuang.... he's going to guide a group of hikerz from Puncak Alam on monday prior to CNY... so mat rudy n me agreed since nearli a year last we climb Mount Angsi... furthermore, in oerder to achieve our kpi 1 mountain per month... we need to start hiking alreadi.... actuali... we alreadi short 1 mountain on januari... plus... of cause it was free hike....her! her! the guide settled everithing from permit, meal n transport.... her! her! 

 

so by 7:30 we arrived @Genting Sempah RnR... the team alreadi there waiting with their leader...haris... it was daypack hike... so everibodi had packed lunch readi... after some short introduction... we drove to Santai Riverside to park... the owner of the park was an acquaintance of wan dj... later, mira, one of the group member told us.. that they are fit for life (F4L) team... a group focus on getting fitness activiti for qualiti life.... they alway organize physical activities to develop fitness for health....

8:30 briefing

wan dj led a briefing on what to expect along the trail... after haris read prayer.... the hike started.... although from strava route set pre hike...shows aproximateli 7 km hike.... after hike .. the calculation like below...

1.5 km: riverside - first river cross
2 km: first river cross - jungle trail juction
2 km: jungle trail - second river cross
5.5 km: second river cross - peak

about 13 minutes strolling the the road... we arrived @first river crossing... the carpark area here cost rm7 per entry for hikers who wish to leave car for hiking Mount Nuang....

about 15 minutes, we reached farm junction... took 10 minute break after continuing the journey... afterward, we arrange wan dj n mat rudy to lead the group.... so bad n me at the rear... while bad performing his duty as the sweeper...

after 2 months preparation..... D day has arrived.... participants gathered as earli as 07:00 a.m.... by 08:30 a.m., the bus started to roll from Nilai to Jeti Tanjong Gemok.... for us, facilitators assembled @Pusat Kokurikulum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah (PKK SHAH) near Kuatan airport, loading program equipments into trucks..... after that, convoyed to Tg Gemok jetti with Leban Chondong in mind for lunch..... had masak pedas n masak lemak prawn.... with fried vegetables n omelets.... after stomaching, continued to the jetti....

arrived @jetti Tjg Gemok.... began unloading gears n equipment.... paid Taman Laut permit rm5/ person... collected the booked tickets @counter and then, wait for the arriving bus from Nilai... embarked Feri Gemilang to Jeti Kg Salang... checked in Salang Pusaka Resort.... don the manager alreadi prepared our rooms since we booked them a month before...

trekking Kg Salang trail to Monkey Bay.... about 2 km hike... the route can be divided into 3 legs... firstli, climbing trail to Salang Hill... then jungle trail down to the beach.... then sandi trail until reaching Monkey Bay.... cooked, picnicked n swinging into such clear blue lagoon.... then, packing things up going back to Salang Resort... next  was the most anticipated activiti of all.... discoveri scuba diving (DSD)...

delighted participants gathered earli for DSD... the instructors showed us how to use diving gear (buoyanci compensator, mask, fin, regulator n tank)... under close supervision, had guided dive... n for the first time, we entered to a new realm estranged from us.... the realm of aquaman....

today, had an island hop to snorkeling n diving spot around Tioman... those accomplished diver went to Batu Malang, Salang Reef dive site.... see pictures below... the currents was so strong that rescue boat was needed to catch them wanderers... her! her!
